I started painting sets in 1995 during highschool, and I've continued to get great satisfaction from the process since then. I've painted sets in many theatres including the the Factory Theatre, the Tarragon Theatre, Theatre Passe Muraille, George Brown College, and Solar Stage Children's Theatre in Toronto, Festival Players in Picton and the Belfry Theatre in Victoria, BC. Scenic painting often requires a keen eye for color mixing and a certain zen quality of controlled randomness, as well as the ability to take a small design and create a 15' x 40' replication.
